Why and How to prep for the SAT's

Why take the SAT?

Since COVID, a lot of schools have made this an optional part of the application process.  However, very few have eliminated, right?  That's because it's not going away.  The benefit of the SAT is that it can lead to scholarships as well as help you stand out from the crowd.

When to take the SAT

How to Register for the official exam

How to Prepare for the Exam

We recommend to take your first official exam during your junior year of high school.  It's best to take them exam at least twice and submit your best score to your future college.

Register to take the SAT exam through your schools guidance counselor or register directly at the college board website

We recommend you know before you go by taking the practice exams. Some schools offer the PSAT practice exam.  This helps gauge your score for the SAT.  The challenge is this exam does not include the same level of math that will be on the SAT.  We offer a free, proctored SAT practice exam either virtually, at the Lansdale Library and at our location in Harleysville that included detailed reporting and consultation for a customized recommendation.  If your score is over 1100, a bootcamp may be best for you.  Otherwise we recommend either 1-1 tutoring or an SAT class.
